BRAINYAC, hosted by Columbia University's Zuckerman Institute, is a summer research internship program connecting high school students with scientists for an intensive lab experience. Aimed at sophomores and juniors from select partner programs and schools in Upper Manhattan and the Bronx, BRAINYAC offers an immersive, hands-on research opportunity in neuroscience. Students are matched with Columbia neuroscientists to guide them through a research project, enhancing their understanding of laboratory research and exposing them to a professional academic environment. The program prioritizes applicants from New York City, especially those in upper Manhattan and the South Bronx.
