The Intern Summer Justice Program at the Law Office of the Public Defender offers a unique two-week internship for high school students interested in the justice system. This program, designed specifically for students aged 15 to 18 with a GPA of 2.0 or higher, provides an immersive experience into the workings of the criminal justice courts, law enforcement, crime lab, and medical examiner’s office. Participants will shadow attorneys, observe court proceedings, engage with legal professionals, and conclude with a mock trial. The program runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, for 10 consecutive business days and is open to students who have completed 9th grade in Broward County, Florida.
