Malott Family Zoo Intern Program - Lincoln Park Zoo

The Malott Family Zoo Intern Program at Lincoln Park Zoo offers a unique opportunity for Chicago high school students to gain hands-on experience in animal science and conservation fields. This seven-week paid internship runs from June 24 to August 9, with an orientation on June 8. Interns will learn about informal education techniques, communicate conservation messages to zoo guests, and work on a culminating project. They will also have the chance to meet with researchers and Animal Care staff to explore potential careers. The program is open to City of Chicago residents entering grades 10–12 or their freshman year of college in fall 2024, who are between 15–18 years old by June 8, 2024.
